Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic IT team.
As a member of the Technical Operations team, the Infrastructure Engineer will provide 1st and 2nd line support to our customers across a range of our hosted products. Working both independently and closely with the provisioning and NOC teams, they will carry out routine maintenance, provisioning new customer services and assist in managing the virtual estates.
Responsibilities
* Troubleshooting customer faults over the phone, remotely or at site
* Hardware management, including upgrades, patching and asset management
* Proactive monitoring of hardware, working with service desk teams to identify issues and respond accordingly
* Carrying out regular datacentre visits for implementations and audits
* Maintain documentation for changes and creating new documentation in line with new deployments
* Where required, take the lead with various ongoing internal project-related work
* Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota (following completion of probation)
Skills

* A drive to learn new technologies
* Proficient in multiple IT disciplines, including virtualization technologies, Microsoft 365 and administering Active Directory
* Working knowledge of hardware building and maintenance
Desirable
* Experience working in an MSP
* Familiarity with VMWare, KVM or Hyper-V
* Exposure to Onmissa EUC and Remote Desktop Services
* Understanding of WAN, LAN and VPN technologies
* Windows Active Directory Domain Services, Active Directory Federation Services, DNS and DHCP
A minimum of 2 years relevant experience within a technical environment is required for this role. A full clean driving license is also essential as the role requires both customer site visits and data centre visits.
