Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse caseload of children in care, including those in long-term foster placements, residential settings, and those preparing for independence.
* Conduct statutory visits, assessments, and reviews in line with current legislation, statutory guidance, and local protocols.
* Lead and manage complex cases, ensuring care and permanency planning are implemented in the best interests of the child.
* Provide mentoring and professional guidance to less experienced colleagues, supporting their development and promoting a culture of excellence.
* Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and multi-agency professionals to deliver outcome-focused, person-centred services.
* Prepare comprehensive, evidence-based reports for court proceedings and represent the local authority in legal contexts when required.
* Maintain accurate, timely, and reflective case records in accordance with organisational requirements.
* Contribute to service development by identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting the implementation of best practice initiatives.
