Cornwall Insight is an award-winning provider of research, analysis, consulting and training to businesses and stakeholders engaged in the Great British and Irish energy markets. We are seeking a commercial finance analyst to join our experienced Finance team, either in our Norwich HQ, or from our London office. Operating in a growth orientated, private equity backed organisation, the commercial finance analyst provides trusted, relevant information and analysis to support the team in making good commercial decisions and delivering our growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Creation and dissemination of best-in-class management information integrating financial and non-financial data, with clear articulation of causal relationships and commercial consequences
* Contribute to board and management reporting, including the preparation of high quality written materials for the board and senior leadership group
* Analysis of non-financial KPI information sourced from third party platforms including Salesforce and our proprietary technology platform
* Support commercial decision-making and strategy across all areas of the business with high quality financial analysis, applying professional judgement to commercial questions
* Full responsibility for the revenue forecasting cycle, working closely with revenue owners to deliver data-drive forecasts and targets
* Play a lead role in the budgeting and forecasting process, including ownership of the budget model and applying commercial and strategic analysis to the financial information
* Perform ad-hoc analysis of financial and non-financial information to support decision making by the senior leadership group
* Support the Board in evaluation of new investment opportunities including both new product development, new market entry, and potential acquisitions
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential
* Relationship skills and demonstrated ability to form working partnership with business stakeholders are essential
* Specific experience of financial forecast modelling is desirable
* Previous exposure to SalesForce is desirable, but not essential
* High standards of integrity and professionalism are required
