Job Introduction
Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Technical Services Manager to assist in the delivery of a Total FM-focused contract, providing technical leadership and support across a diverse and operationally complex environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Hard FM, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality services in line with statutory obligations and client expectations.
As Technical Services Manager, you will work closely with the Hard Services Manager to ensure the efficient and compliant delivery of all technical and hard services. This includes overseeing planned preventative maintenance, statutory compliance and lifecycle planning while managing supplier performance, driving service improvements and maintaining high standards of health and safety across the contract.
You will be joining our Total FM team based at Exeter Schools. The team provides integrated asset management and maintenance services across the education, leisure, corporate, health and living sectors ensuring facilities operate safely, efficiently and at their best.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract. Due to the nature of this role, an Enhanced DBS check is required. The successful candidate will be expected to work on a rotational basis, participating in an out-of-hours call escalation rota.

Key Responsibilities
Management of all Hard Services delivered either in-house or by Providers effective management of Providers on site
Manage project specific risks including the preparation, implementation, monitoring and review of risk management plans.
Manage, monitor, review and improve technical services provided under the contract, either directly or through contractors.
Monitor and review actual costs against budget and take timely action to rectify any projected overspend and negotiate with stakeholders when necessary to achieve the best outcome for the organisation, within the bounds of the contract
Assist the Contract Manager to develop and maintain systems and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the service.
Assist the Contract Manager to proactively monitor and measure customer satisfaction both quantitively and qualitatively on a regular basis
Deliver services with a full understanding of the contract specification (particularly output specifications) and statutory requirements
Build professional relationships with key external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction, whilst also meeting the organisations strategic and financial aims.
Assist the Contract Manager in the recruitment, induction, development and management of operational staff, in line with company and statutory procedures, including safeguarding children requirements
Essential Skills
Significant experience in Hard FM
Experience of FM service deliverables within a PFI Contract
Management of Supply Chain
Implementation of Statutory Compliance PPM tasks.
Practical knowledge and management of Statutory compliance requirements
Working knowledge of SFG20
Knowledge and implementation of SSoWs
Understanding and knowledge of CAFM
Understanding and knowledge BMS systems
Demonstrable experience in managing contractors through KPIs and SLAs to achieve high performance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
IOSH Managing Safely qualification
RP or AP Certification
Technical qualification in FM or building maintenance services
Desirable
Experience working in educational buildings
Trained in and working knowledge of construction / FM H&S
Related degree or equivalent
Membership of a professional body e.g. BIFM
Auditing qualifications
