Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supported Living Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home specialising in assisted living and senior care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care tailored to residents with various needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a compassionate approach to support residents' independence and well-being. The Supported Living Manager will also supervise staff, develop care plans, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the care home, ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents.
* Lead and supervise a team of care staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management to maintain high standards of care.
* Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans for residents with diverse needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, and general senior care.
* Ensure medication administration is carried out accurately and in accordance with prescribed protocols.
* Coordinate with healthcare professionals to facilitate nursing and home care services as required.
* Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards.
* Foster positive relationships with residents' families and external agencies to promote transparency and collaborative care.
* Organise staff rotas, manage resources efficiently, and ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
* Keep detailed records of resident progress, incidents, and care activities in line with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
* Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments, ideally within senior or dementia care settings.
* Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience within a care home or home care setting.
* Knowledge of dementia care principles including Alzheimer's support strategies.
* Familiarity with developing and managing individualised care plans.
* Competence in medication administration following strict protocols.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills to engage residents, families, and team members professionally.
* Relevant qualifications in nursing or healthcare management are desirable but not essential; however, experience in nursing or senior care is required.
