We are seeking a Junior Engineer to join our Night Shift team. The role involves maintaining and improving onsite equipment to ensure optimal operation at all times.
The Junior Engineer will handle reactive and preventative maintenance, report defects, assist contractors, manage defect tickets via our CMMS system, and adhere to Health and Safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on plant and equipment, including automated conveying systems, thermoforming equipment, refrigeration (CO2), and dock systems.
2. Identify and rectify defects, documenting actions in the maintenance manual and CMMS.
3. Carry out minor structural and electrical improvements.
4. Respond to breakdowns and support reactive maintenance efforts.
5. Supervise contractors and ensure work complies with specifications, reporting issues to the maintenance manager.
6. Maintain compliance with all Health and Safety regulations.
7. Collaborate with the maintenance shift manager to manage tasks, provide updates, and improve plant efficiency.
8. Support operational projects as needed.
9. Monitor inventory levels and manage stock using the CMMS system.
Candidate Profile:
1. Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
2. Excellent communication skills, able to work independently and in teams.
3. Strong commitment to health and safety.
4. Experience in maintenance or engineering is preferred.
5. Knowledge of automated systems and PLC controls.
6. Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
7. Basic computer skills, familiarity with CMMS or similar systems.
8. Flexible to work shifts and weekends.

Work Details:
Shift pattern: 4 on 3 off, Sunday to Wednesday, 42 hours/week, night shifts.
