Are you looking to gain valuable clinical experience in one of the largest teaching and research centres in the Southwest?

An exciting opportunity has now arisen to join our Three-Year Rotational Medical Training Programme on an 8-month fixed-term contract. This position offers hands-on experience, professional development, and exposure to a busy, dynamic hospital environment.

Although this role is part of our broader rotational programme, the placements for this fixed-term contract are already confirmed as follows:

This is an excellent opportunity for trust grade doctors seeking structured experience within key medical specialties, with access to educational support and opportunities for progression.

What You’ll Gain

· Structured Experience & Stability – A clear, planned rotation within two key specialties.

· Mentorship & Development – Support from experienced consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

· Hands-On Clinical Exposure – Practical experience in acute and general medical settings.

· Exposure to Urgent & Emergency Care – Including out-of-hours resident work as part of the AMU rotation.

· Career Building – A great step toward further specialty training or senior clinical roles.

Main duties of the job

During your 8-month placement, you will work within BRI’s General Internal Medicine and Acute Medical Unit, gaining hands-on experience in diverse and fast-paced clinical environments. This role includes out-of-hours resident work during the AMU placement, providing valuable exposure to acute and emergency scenarios. Details around the rota and out-of-hours commitments can be discussed at interview
