Equans is looking for a Repairs Manager to join our team in Tamworth on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working in Partnership with Tamworth Borough Council on their repairs and maintenance contract on social housing. General Overview We are seeking a Repairs Manager to take a senior role in the day-to-day management of our social housing repairs service. Working closely with the Contracts Manager, you will ensure that responsive repairs and planned maintenance works are delivered efficiently, meeting performance targets and enhancing the service quality for residents. In this key leadership position, you will bridge the gap between management and the frontline team, resolving operational challenges, optimizing processes, and ensuring smooth coordination among supervisors, planners, and administrative staff What will you deliver? Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of responsive repairs and planned maintenance, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and on schedule. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Act as the first point of contact for operational issues, collaborating with supervisors and planners to resolve challenges swiftly and effectively. Performance Management: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service delivery metrics to ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are consistently met. Team Coordination & Support: Provide guidance and leadership to supervisors, planners, and admin staff, fostering effective communication and teamwork. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process enhancement and work with management to implement changes that drive efficiency and quality improvements. Resident Focus: Ensure that repairs are carried out with minimal disruption to residents, promptly addressing any issues or complaints. A strong background in social housing repairs and maintenance management. Proven ability to manage day-to-day operational challenges, with a keen eye for detail and efficiency. A solid understanding of KPIs, compliance, and performance monitoring in a housing repairs context. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with housing repairs systems and software (e.g., Maintain/MRI, Orchard, or similar). Who are we?
