The company is the UK’s most advanced composites manufacturer, supplying components to global OEM and blue-chip customers across automotive, manual handling, medical, and vending sectors. The role focuses on maintaining and improving the Quality Management Systems & Processes.

The Role
The Quality Systems Engineer ensures that organisational processes and the goods and services produced comply with the requirements of standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001), as well as customer, regulatory, and the organisation’s own requirements.
Responsibilities And Duties
* Evaluate production processes for compliance with quality requirements.
* Periodically inspect and calibrate auditing tools (e.g., scales, callipers).
* Develop audit plans and audit schedules.
* Conduct quality audits and lead a team of quality auditors when needed.
* Identify areas where internal processes meet requirements and opportunities for improvement.
* Develop audit reports and present them to top management as needed.
* Ensure all customer quality requirements are complied with during manufacture.
* Resolve internal concerns promptly using continuous improvement methodologies (PDCA/8D) to maintain total customer satisfaction.
* Make informed decisions regarding line stoppages due to quality problems.
* Monitor and measure quality KPIs.
* Assist in training on quality awareness with operational supervisory and management teams.
* Comply with all Health & Safety procedures.
* Other duties as necessary to fulfil the role requirements.
Qualifications And Skills
* HND or Degree or 3 years’ experience in automotive or similar manufacturing environment.
* Extensive working knowledge of IATF 16949 & ISO 9001.
* Strong IT skills with proven experience of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
* Ability to identify problems, determine root causes, and implement robust, sustainable solutions.
* Ability to respond quickly to internal and external customers.
* Knowledge of 8D, FMEA, Control Plan, APQP, PPAP.
* Positive, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
* Teamwork ethos.
