Overview of the role
The role of the Domestic Assistant is to undertake a range of cleaning duties to a high standard throughout the home.
Key duties
* Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home, especially within the kitchen and storage areas
* Ensuring all work surfaces and floor areas are clean and well-maintained
* Hoovering, washing, polishing, etc., in all areas, including the residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
* Identifying future regular cleaning and maintenance needs
* Identifying future resources and equipment needed for the home
* Operating within all Company policies and procedures
* Demonstrating our values
* Getting to know the people we support and enabling them to live a safe, happy, and fulfilling life through developing open, honest, and considerate relationships

Where will you work?
Hurst House is a large, detached home in Swindon, supporting up to 10 middle-aged and older men and women with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. The residents enjoy arts and crafts, music lessons, walks, and social events, with access to a nearby second Choice Care home. The home has easy access to public transport and its own vehicle for local trips and activities in the community.
