Junior Account Manager at Ministry of Fish
Job Description
Hello, we are Ministry of Fish – a creative marketing and events agency based in Winchester. We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented, Junior Account Manager to join our expanding team as we continue to thrive in 2025! If you love building strong client relationships, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy supporting with the creation of engaging materials, this might just be your perfect role.
Role Overview
As a Junior Account Manager, your day-to-day role will be to support the Account Management Team on individual accounts and projects - with responsibility for various aspects of successful project management. Where appropriate, you will also work closely with the Events team as we collaborate on projects that require a variety of skill sets.
Working within a supportive and tight-knit team, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills and will be integral to delivering great work.
You will be collaborative and inquisitive - asking as many questions as it takes to help better your understanding of how the clients and team work.
Many of our clients are within the pharmaceutical industry and therefore learning the rules and regulations that need to be applied to our work in this field – alongside getting to grips with the systems they use - will also be of great importance to your role.
This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver the core values of Ministry of Fish at ground level, whilst refining and growing your own marketing and project management skill base. Ministry of Fish offers excellent career progression opportunities to team members.
Our core values are central to how we retain our reputation and grow the business.

* Creative: Attending ‘think tank’ meetings, supplying brief friendly thought starters and contributing to / building on new ideas
* Project support: Having a clear sense of the brief and the SOW, assisting in the timely production and delivery of projects and keeping the Account Manager informed of progress. Also not being afraid to ask for help when you need it
* Quality control: Keeping a keen eye on output and preventing any work that isn’t up to scratch from leaving the building
* Commercial: Having an understanding of what is in scope for your projects and being diligent in avoiding scope-creep
* Pharmaceutical training: Understanding the rules and regulations required in this field and learning how to use appropriate approval systems
Skills Required
* Teamwork: Ability to set tasks with clear objectives and deadlines. You should be motivational, approachable, cool-headed and collaborative
* Analytical skills: Anticipating and identifying problems relating to client work. Pre-empting issues that may arise and prepare to action appropriately
* Proofreading: Strong proofreading skills are key - we’re only as good as our last piece of work
* Communication: Able to share ideas clearly, demonstrating confident and appropriate communication with people at all levels
* Organisation: Ability to juggle several projects at once without sacrificing attention to detail. You’ll be able to prioritise tasks and deadlines
* Technical: Familiar with Microsoft Office products
