Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Band 6 Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our Community Respiratory Service. This role involves delivering high-quality physiotherapy interventions to patients with long-term respiratory conditions, including pulmonary rehabilitation and airway clearance therapy. The successful candidate will work independently in community settings, providing therapeutic assessments and individualised treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist respiratory physiotherapy interventions, including pulmonary rehabilitation and airway clearance therapy
* Conduct therapeutic assessments for patients with long-term respiratory conditions
* Deliver patient education talks for pulmonary rehab programmes under senior therapist guidance
* Work independently during community visits in health centres and home settings
* Collaborate with MDT, patients, carers, and external agencies
* Undertake evidence-based audits and contribute to service development
* Participate in research and provide supervision to junior staff and students
Key Requirements
* Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
* HCPC registration and CSP membership
* NHS experience with a range of placements
* Experience in pulmonary rehabilitation
* Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
* Strong communication skills with patients and professionals
* Familiarity with respiratory physiotherapy assessment tools and outcome measures
* Willingness to travel within the borough during working hours
