Infrastructure Strategic Planning Manager (ISPM)
Position Overview
We’re looking for a highly analytical and collaborative Infrastructure Strategic Planning Manager (ISPM) to support the development and delivery of integrated infrastructure planning across the client site.
Working closely with the Civil Service Infrastructure Strategic Planning Lead, you’ll play a central role in developing and maintaining the Infrastructure Integrated Plan and Strategic —critical tools that bring together infrastructure projects, maintenance activities, safety case requirements, and operational programmes.
You’ll help create a single, integrated view of infrastructure delivery, enabling better decision-making, risk management, and strategic alignment across a complex, highly regulated environment.
️ Key Responsibilities
* Engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the community, including site teams
* Collaborate with Engineering and Compliance teams to understand interdependencies across infrastructure activities
* Collect and integrate planning data from project, programme, and infrastructure teams into a unified plan
* ️ Develop and manage Primavera P6 schedules, ensuring accuracy and alignment
* Produce and maintain the Infrastructure Integrated Plan (IIP) and Strategic IIP as the “single source of truth”
* ⚠️ Analyse plans to identify risks, issues, discrepancies, and opportunities, ensuring timely mitigation
* Demonstrate cause-and-effect relationships and run planning/mitigation scenarios
* Develop clear, concise planning reports to support informed decision-making
* Provide up-to-date reporting on progress, risks, issues, and changes, escalating where required
* Prepare reports for governance forums, aligned with reporting cycles (“drumbeats”)
* Support the Planning Forum (CPF) and Strategic Planning Working Group, ensuring effective participation
* Act as a key focal point for Primavera P6 planning activities within the DHI team (alongside the Planning Lead)
Qualifications
Skills / experience required for this role:
1. MS O365 proficient.
2. Primavera P6 proficient.
3. Experienced user of SharpCloud and Power BI.
4. Strong administration and governance skills.
5. Effective stakeholder management and engagement at all levels.
6. Strong presentation and communication skills.
7. Organised with ability to work on own initiative and be proactive.
