The purpose of this role is to prepare, document, and co-ordinate the shipment of goods ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
1. Preparing Shipments
Select, pack, and secure products for shipping according to company standards.
Label packages with correct shipping information (addresses, tracking numbers, barcodes).
Verify that outgoing shipments match customer orders and packing lists.
Ensure items are packaged to prevent damage during transit.
2. Documentation & Recordkeeping
Prepare DGN's, DN's, invoices, and other required documents.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, including dates, quantities, and destinations.
Update shipping logs or computer systems with order status and tracking information.
Ensure correctness and compliance of dangerous goods documentation according to regulations.
Produce reports when required
3. Coordination & Communication
Schedule shipments and coordinate with freight carriers, couriers, or postal services.
Communicate with warehouse, production, accounts and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Resolve shipping-related issues, such as delays, lost packages, or damaged goods.
4. Quality & Compliance
Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy, quality, and compliance with regulations.
Follow safety guidelines and shipping regulations (domestic and international).
Handle returns and exchanges according to company procedures.
5. Shipping/ Warehouse/ Packing Areas & Transport Handling
Load transports and ensure the correctness of loaded goods.
Assist with unloading goods and allocation of goods to the correct storage locations.
6. Health & Safety
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and regulations.
Operate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and according to training.

Pay: £13.50 per hour
