Key Responsibilities
· The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the successful financial delivery of projects by controlling costs, progressing monthly valuations and helping to compile variations and change orders.
· Manage & maintain relationships with clients, contractors, other construction professionals, suppliers, and site staff.
· Compiling monthly job costing reviews and final accounts.
· Assist in the commercial activities of the business and provide support/advice in this regard to the Projects Managers, Lead QS & Snr Management Team as required.
· Preparation of monthly valuations following site measurements and work-in-progress reviews.
· Follow up monthly valuations ensure payments are received on time as per the agreed contract conditions.
· Complete and submit project documentation and correspondence within agreed timeframes.
· Processing monthly subcontractor payments.
· Assist with the review of Contracts ahead of signing.
· Engage Sub-contractors, assist with negotiations, prepare sub-contract documents
· Any other duties required to fulfil the requirements of the position
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
· Third level qualification in a Surveying or Cost Engineering discipline or can demonstrate an equivalent level of experience.
· Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
· Proven experience in the M&E or Construction industry.
· High level of IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
· A keen eye for detail and willing to learn.
· Current UK Driving License.
