A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a UK-known manufacturer in the Birmingham area. With no day ever being the same, the role offers long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.
Role and Responsibilities
* Create detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using SolidWorks Electrical or E:Plan, along with Bills of Materials.
* Develop supporting documentation such as performance calculations, test plans, and material/component justifications.
* Ensure all designs meet customer specifications and comply with safety and legislative standards.
* Collaborate with mechanical engineers to deliver fully integrated product solutions.
* Follow structured design processes to ensure timely risk mitigation and design approvals.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR SC CLEARANCE
* Degree qualified or experience within a relevant industry
* Power and Electrical Design knowledge; Low Voltage power distribution experience is highly desirable
* Experience working with Variable speed drives, control panels, motor panels, PLC systems
* Knowledge and experience working with Control and Instrumentation would be highly desirable
* E:Plan and SolidWorks Electrical knowledge and experience
