Community Alarm Officer – Role Overview
We have a fantastic and exciting opportunity for people who want to make a difference to vulnerable and elderly people in Dudley. Dudley Council is committed to ongoing improvement and achieving excellence.
The service provides, installs, monitors and responds to alarm activations that enable people to remain at home, promoting independence, choice and control. The service operates 24/7 and the successful candidate must be able to work a 7hr 24minute shift, following a rota pattern, Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00. You will work a 37‑hour week over a rolling rota, Monday to Friday.
The salary is £31,537 to £34,434.
Responsibilities
* Install Technology Enabled Care (TEC) equipment.
* Complete assessments and participate in our falls response service to support non‑injured fallers up from the floor using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment.
* Respond to alarm activations and assist in maintaining safety for clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Full UK driving licence and use of a car, which must be insured for business use.
* Ability to pass DVLA checks (licence, MOT, insurance).
* Adults Enhanced DBS Check – medical clearance and an advanced DBS check.
* Right to work in the UK – no sponsorship offered.
