Software Licensing Officer

DDaT provides support for University of Bath software approval and procurement. As a Software Licensing Officer you will help ensure compliance, value for money and efficient provision/renewal of software licences for the university. You will review licence requests, triage them, liaise with requestors and suppliers, maintain the software catalogue, manage the renewal calendar, and provide advice and information to promote a positive customer experience.


Responsibilities

* Ensure compliance and effective management of software licences.
* Review licence requests, triage, and liaise with colleagues, requestors and suppliers to secure value for money purchasing.
* Maintain software licence knowledge materials and information management procedures.
* Manage the licence renewal calendar to prevent termination before renewal.
* Provide information and advice to ensure coherence and cost‑efficient procurement of licences and hardware contracts.
* Deputise for the Manager of Software Licensing when required.
* Establish positive relationships with DDaT teams, Cyber, Service Desk, procurement and university‑wide product owners.
