If you’re a hands-on Production Engineer who enjoys problem solving and improving how things are made, this is a brilliant opportunity to join a business with real engineering depth. You’ll be working within a specialist manufacturing environment that designs and builds complex electrical and mechanical systems for critical industries — from energy and defence to aerospace and nuclear. What you’ll be doing: Providing production engineering support across the manufacturing team, ensuring products are built safely, on time and to the highest quality. Helping develop and maintain manufacturing documentation — including Bills of Materials, routings, and assembly instructions. Creating or improving tooling, jigs, and fixtures to optimise assembly and test processes. Supporting bids and new projects with accurate manufacturing cost and time estimates. Working closely with design engineers to ensure drawings and documentation are production-ready. Driving continuous improvement — from layout changes and new tooling through to Lean initiatives that cut waste and reduce build time. Investigating and resolving any production issues as they arise.What you’ll need: HNC/HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline (or solid experience in a similar production support role). Experience within electro-mechanical or electrical manufacturing. Confident reading engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and schematics. Strong knowledge of BoMs and routings within an ERP/MRP system. Practical understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and tooling design (3D CAD experience is a plus). Good communication skills and a methodical, problem-solving mindset.
