We offer a truly exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses to join us in our newly established community-based Health Protection Service. Working primarily in a vaccination & immunisation role, you will also gain experience in our developing wider Health Protection model. These posts will appeal to highly motivated nurses who demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic commitment to population health protection.
Successful applicants will work flexibly across the Health Board, providing the highest standards of vaccination, immunisation, and testing services to both the general public and staff in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
As a Vaccination & Immunisation/Health Protection Nurse, you will administer vaccinations, immunisations, and testing in various locations across the Health Board, including working as a lone worker when required. Settings include health and social care sites, community vaccination and testing centres, primary care and community clinics, as well as care homes. We also provide services to housebound patients and clients.
Our programmes target all age groups, from the very young to the young at heart. The role involves overseeing population health checks, signposting patients according to local pathways, and duties aligned with the broader Health Protection function.
The Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is part of NHS Wales, serving approximately 450,000 people across Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, and Rhondda Cynon Taf.
