Job Description
The Job Mission
This is a key leadership role within Assystem’s site-based delivery team at Hinkley Point C.
You will lead piping integration across systems and work-fronts on a mega-scale nuclear project.
You will ensure readiness for commissioning and drive engineering alignment on-site.
️ Lead end-to-end piping integration from engineering to commissioning
️ Oversee interface control and system freeze boundaries across MEH disciplines
️ Review and approve system change requests and late-stage design deviations
️ Collaborate with HVAC, Electrical and Commissioning leads for cross-discipline alignment
️ Act as site-facing piping technical authority and escalation point
️ Ensure installation activities align with engineering design and sequencing
️ Conduct technical reviews with MEH delivery contractors to assess readiness
️ Support real-time decisions that affect progress on critical path systems
Qualifications
Essential Skills
Degree in Mechanical, Process or similar engineering field
10+ years piping/process experience in nuclear or large energy projects
Site-based integration experience with high-integrity systems
Strong knowledge of piping construction and commissioning practices
Experience with freeze boundary and change control management
Stakeholder-facing role with strong communication skills
Ability to assess installation and commissioning readiness
Desired Skills
️ Knowledge of HO3/HO4 system completion processes
️ Familiarity with EPR design and configuration
️ Experience working with MEH Alliance contractors
️ Experience in cross-discipline coordination (MEH systems)
️ Previous experience on HPC, Sellafield, or Flamanville
