An established engineering and maintenance organisation is seeking an experienced Software Commissioning Test Team Leader to supervise on-site commissioning activities for industrial control systems. The role focuses on ensuring safe, compliant, and accurate testing within complex industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise on-site software commissioning and testing activities
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved commissioning procedures and Safe Systems of Work
* Review commissioning documentation for suitability and compliance
* Coordinate commissioning activities with other site teams and attend planning meetings
* Manage Temporary Commissioning Aids, including approval, application, monitoring, and removal
* Raise commissioning reservations and manage defects during testing
* Stop commissioning activities where safety or system integrity is compromised and escalate appropriately
* Ensure the final plant configuration meets commissioning documentation or agreed standards
* Manage incidents, make safe, and preserve the scene for investigation
Skills & Experience:
* Hands-on experience with Siemens PLC and SCADA systems
* Good understanding of control panels, electrical installations, and instrumentation
* Proven experience in testing and on-site commissioning
* Strong health & safety awareness
Qualifications:
* ECS Card (or equivalent) - essential
* SSSTS or SMSTS - preferred
