Main duties of the job
We are seeking a friendly, organised and professional GP care navigator to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will deliver a welcoming and efficient service both in person and over the phone. Your responsibilities will include booking and managing appointments, responding to patient enquiries, updating records and providing general administrative support to the clinical team.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a calm and compassionate approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy practice environment.
Previous experience in a GP setting is essential.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be the first point of contact for patients, both in person and by telephone, providing a welcoming, professional and efficient reception service. The role involves supporting patients to access appropriate clinical care while maintaining a friendly and compassionate approach.
* Greet patients and handle enquiries courteously in person and by telephone
* Book, cancel and reschedule appointments including requests for home visits
* Triage patient enquiries and pass messages accurately in line with practice procedures
* Keep patients informed of delayed and address concerns sensitively
* Support GPs, Nurse and the wider clinical team with administrative requests
* Order ambulances and interpreters as required
* Maintain familiarity with appointment and telephone systems
* Work effectively as part of the reception team
* Handle complaints in accordance with practice procedures
* Ensure reception and waiting areas are clean and tidy
