Clinical Duties: Provide nursing care and advice to patients across the lifespan in line with clinical guidelines and protocols. Perform routine procedures including: Cervical screening (smear tests) Childhood and adult immunisations/vaccinations Wound care and dressings ECGs, venepuncture, injections Chronic disease management (e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension) NHS health checks and screening programmes Travel health advice and vaccinations Assist in minor surgery Health Promotion & Education: Offer lifestyle advice on topics such as smoking cessation, weight management, alcohol reduction, and physical activity. Support patients in self-care and disease prevention.
Teamwork & Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning. Work closely with GPs and other clinicians to manage patient care effectively. Record Keeping & Compliance: Maintain accurate, contemporaneous patient records using clinical systems (SystmOne) Ensure compliance with infection control, safeguarding, and confidentiality policies. Participate in audits, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
