About the Role
You will become an essential part of the school’s inclusion team, offering calm, steady support to pupils who may have experienced adversity. The role involves:
* Building trusting relationships with children who need additional emotional or behavioural support
* Working closely with teachers, the SENDCo and pastoral staff to maintain trauma-informed approaches
* Helping pupils regulate, engage with learning and develop confidence
* Creating a consistent, reassuring presence in and beyond the classroom
* Contributing to personalised plans and reflective practice
What We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting children or young people (school, residential, youth work or similar)
* An understanding of trauma-informed or nurturing approaches, or a willingness to learn
* Patience, emotional steadiness and thoughtful communication
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of pupils
