 
        
        We are currently looking to recruit LGV Drivers / Labourers to deliver our new food waste collection service which commences early in 2026. This is brand new collection scheme, and we are looking for staff who will assist us in ensuring its success. We are keen to meet people who are looking for a new challenge and who are motivated to deliver their best.
Applicants will also be expected to cover other activities such as mechanical street cleansing, and our existing domestic and commercial waste and recycling collections if required.
Duties will include driving various Council vehicles such as, large mechanical sweepers, loading shovel, compact mechanical sweepers, refuse collection vehicles and 3.5T pick-ups.
Applicants must possess a Cat C driving licence a valid DCPC and be willing to be flexible to support delivery of our critical services.
Hours of work are 7.15am – 3.45pm (with an earlier finish on Friday). Overtime will be available on occasions.
Pendle is in Lancashire’s scenic Pennines, close to the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, and Manchester.
