Overview
Electrician - Hull role at CUPONING PULICIDAD S.L. based in Goole/Doncaster. Permanent, 37 hours across 4 days, Monday to Friday with a rolling rota day. You will participate in a call out stand-by rota (typically 1 week in 7).
Join Yorkshire Water’s Water Production Maintenance Team and help provide essential water and wastewater services to customers in the Yorkshire region.
Responsibilities
* Undertake maintenance of electrical and mechanical assets across Clean Water infrastructure, with mobile working as part of a Maintenance Team to deliver Planned & Reactive maintenance.
* Respond to emergency calls (on-call) both in and out of hours; drive to site to improve asset reliability.
* Work unsupervised in remote locations; manage and prioritise own workload; build relationships with operational customers, colleagues, suppliers and contract partners.
* Adhere to Health and Safety policies, identify hazards, mitigate risks, and report to the hazard database.
* Supervise approved Contract Partners; provide risk assessments and method statements when permits to work are required.
* Use a Toughbook to capture work activity and status; assist in training apprentices and less experienced team members.
* Install & commission new plant and equipment to relevant standards; diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant.
* Proactively identify and report follow-on work or areas for enhancement; conduct risk assessments and create method statements when required.
* Specify parts and equipment required for procurement as part of day-to-day duties.
What skills & qualifications you will need
* Essential: Recognised Electrical Craft/Technician Apprenticeship and an equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Eng Tech (e.g., City & Guilds/ONC/BTEC/NVQ/HNC/HND).
* Desirable: IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (City and Guilds 2382-18).
* Experience and knowledge in:
Safe isolation to current IET regulations; time-served industrial electrician; fault finding on control circuits up to PLC; IT literate (MS Office); ability to produce maintenance reports; fault finding with industrial motors and starters; fault finding on LV control circuits; experience with rotating equipment.
Frontline experience in the water or wastewater sectors or related utilities is preferred. You should have a proven track record maintaining and repairing 3-phase rotating machinery and control systems; able to fault-find using industry best practice; mentoring others where applicable.
Other requirements: a full valid EU driving licence; willingness to visit sites across the Yorkshire Region.
