Are you confident, organised, and passionate about supporting young people in the classroom? We are currently seeking a reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work in a supportive secondary school in the South Hams area from September, on a contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in education, whether you're a graduate exploring a career in teaching or an experienced cover supervisor looking for a new challenge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise students during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
* Ensure students remain on task with pre-set work.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and behaviour.
* Support the wider school community when required.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.
* Be confident managing groups of students independently.
* Be adaptable, proactive, and able to think on your feet.
* Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be committed to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and all required safeguarding checks.
