Role Overview
The Midday Supervisor is responsible for the care, supervision and wellbeing of pupils during the lunchtime period, with a particular focus on Early Years pupils. Lunchtime for young children is an important learning opportunity. The successful candidate will support pupils in developing social skills, independence and positive behaviour in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise Reception pupils during lunchtimes
* Support children during meals, encouraging independence and good habits
* Promote calm, positive behaviour using nurturing approaches
* Encourage inclusive play and support social interaction
* Attend to minor accidents, emotional upsets or care needs
* Ensure smooth and calm transitions back to class
* Follow safeguarding and confidentiality procedures at all times
