Hours: 30 hours per week (12pm - 6pm), Monday - Friday, term time only + 15 days in the holidays (please note independent schools have enhanced holidays).
Salary: P16 £26,349 FTE, actual salary for 30 hours TTO + 15 days is £17,871.54

About GSAL and the Role
The Grammar School at Leeds (GSAL) is looking to appoint an Owls Teaching Assistant to support and deliver a range of engaging and stimulating activities for children in their afterschool provision.
As a GSAL Owls Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to provide a range of activities for children, both indoors and outdoors, to engage the children in your care. You will support and provide an environment where children are able to complete homework, and maintain a clean and tidy area. You will encourage children’s participation in games and activities to ensure that they are happy and safe during their time at GSAL Owls. You will be expected to assist with personal care, and support children with eating and drinking.
Qualifications and Experience
* Ideally educated to Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent.
* Desirable qualification in paediatric first aid and food hygiene, or willingness to complete training.
* Previous experience working with children between the ages of 3-11 and understanding of their needs and statutory requirements for after-school clubs.
* Friendly, approachable, and polite with ability to communicate effectively to build positive relationships with parents and carers.
