The role will involve delivering pre-planned lessons (provided) tailored to the cohort of up to x12 learners in an online classroom environment. All of our learners have an EHCP and the work would be suitable & accessible for the groups and individuals. We anticipate the initial cohort to be Key Stage 1 and learning would be delivered in an ALP style/format however, in line with the National Curriculum for English & Maths and following the THRIVE approach. Many of the learners we support have not engaged in education for a significant amount of time so an individualised approach for each child is necessary.

Skills we're looking for:

(essential) UK QTS / QTLS

(essential) primary curriculum delivery experience

(essential) SEND experience relating to Autism, SEMH, ADHD, trauma

The right person will:

be adaptable

ideally have previous experience of teaching online

show a real passion for creating opportunities for learners not currently accessing education via conventional avenues

have excellent communication and teamwork skills

have experience of working with children who have had to overcome barriers and difficult situations

have the desire to go through training and deliver ideas so that ideas can be implemented.

Our business is growing to reach an increasingly wider profile of learner. Invariably, the learners we support have additional needs, an EHCP or are Gifted & Talented. Fundmamentally our business is wholly child-centered to creatively meet the needs of every learner. Our headquarters are based in Weston Super Mare with sites across the South West and beyond. The on-site offer is a ‘revolving-door’ approach whereby students stay at the provision for up to 18 weeks, either on a full-time or part-time 'transition' basis before returning to a mainstream education setting or attending a special school.

All applications will be managed by Elementa as the recruitment partner. Elementa is committed to the safeguarding of children in all of their processes and all successful applicants will have a full-prescreen to assess their suitability for the role. Any appointment will be subject to a successful interview process, satisfactory references, Safeguarding & Prevent training, DBS Enhanced Disclosure (which may be chargeable at £64.20 unless you have a DBS subscribed to the Update Service) and successful completion of (12 week / 60 paid day) employment trial period.
