Job Summary:
The Junior Account Manager is responsible for managing customer accounts, maintaining strong customer relationships, and identifying opportunities for business growth within the assigned portfolio. The role involves collaborating with various departments, delivering sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting the achievement of sales targets. This is an entry-level position designed to provide foundational experience in account management and sales activities without the requirement of any technical knowledge or experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage a dedicated customer base by building and maintaining effective relationships
* Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities to maximise revenue from existing accounts
* Proactively identify and develop new opportunities within existing accounts, engaging the External Sales team when necessary.
* Maintain regular communication with allocated accounts and provide monthly updates on account performance and progress.
* Ensure the CRM system is consistently updated with accurate contact information, call logs, and meeting records.
* Prepare an annual forecast in collaboration with the Internal Sales Manager.
* Collaborate with the Engineering Department on projects to create value-added solutions tailored to customer needs.
* Monitor customer orders and liaise with partners to ensure timely delivery of products.
* Provide quotations in line with customer requirements and specifications, offering scheduled or call-off orders to where applicable.
* Encourage client visits by the External Sales team or facilitate visits to PSI Technologies’ premises as needed.
* Analyse customer spending trends to identify risks and opportunities for the business.
Job Skills:
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Organisational skills, including time management and attention to detail.
* Analytical thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Familiarity with CRM systems is advantageous but not essential.
* Basic understanding of sales principles or customer service practices is desirable.
* Understanding of Microsoft Office platforms is required.
