Evolito’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric propulsion in aerospace applications in support of a net-zero world. We aim to revolutionise personal mobility and transform towns and cities with clean, noise-free air transportation.
Evolito develops and manufactures lightweight, high-power, high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for aerospace markets, including EVTOL, UAVs, and General Aviation.
We also specialise in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for aerospace and defence markets. Our team is scaling rapidly with ambitious growth plans over the next 12 to 18 months.
As part of our high-growth phase, we are seeking a Financial Controller to assist the Director of Finance in developing sound financial controls and procedures, and to support the management of the Finance Team.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing, coaching, and developing two management accountants, the transactional services partner, and an assistant accountant.
2. Providing timely, accurate management information to the business.
3. Challenging budget holders to optimise resource and investment.
4. Ensuring rigorous financial controls are in place.
5. Managing monthly and annual closing activities, including the year-end audit and tax compliance.
6. Producing financial statements and reports as required.
7. Overseeing the annual budget process and reforecasting activities.
8. Overseeing payroll preparation.
9. Reviewing financial systems for fit and function.
10. Assessing and reducing financial risks.
11. Deputising for the Director of Finance.
12. Leading ad-hoc projects from the Finance Director and Senior Management Team.
13. Proactively supporting all business areas.
Skills and experience required:
* Experience in finance within an SME, preferably in manufacturing.
* Experience in process improvement and controls.
* Good knowledge of VAT.
* Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and look-ups.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows.
* Proactive work approach.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
* Resourceful, energetic, and enthusiastic.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure individually and in teams.
* Confident, results-driven, and capable of managing workload and deadlines.
* SAP Business One experience.
* Experience working in an engineering environment.
