Due to continued growth within our Medical Division, we are now seeking an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our expanding team.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially driven recruiter with a proven background in temporary staffing and niche candidate sourcing.
The successful candidate will focus on sourcing and placing Doctors and Consultants into NHS Framework assignments across Northern Ireland. You will play a key role in growing and developing our medical desk, building strong relationships with both clients and candidates while delivering a first-class recruitment service. This is a senior-level opportunity offering exceptional earning potential, autonomy and long-term career progression within an established and highly respected healthcare recruitment business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Source, recruit and place Doctors and Consultants into temporary NHS assignments throughout Northern Ireland
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with NHS clients and medical professionals
3. Proactively headhunt and attract high-quality candidates within niche medical specialisms
4. Build and manage a strong pipeline of available candidates
5. Ensure compliance with NHS Framework standards and internal procedures
6. Negotiate rates, availability and placement terms
7. Coordinate bookings and manage candidate availability
8. Deliver exceptional customer service to both clients and candidates
9. Work towards agreed revenue and placement targets
10. Maintain accurate records using internal CRM and recruitment systems
11. Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the medical division
Essential Criteria
12. Minimum 2 years’ experience within recruitment, preferably temporary staffing
13. Demonstrable success in placing candidates within niche or hard-to-fill sectors
14. Proven billing track record and strong commercial awareness
15. Excellent sourcing and headhunting abilities
16. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
17. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
18. Motivated, ambitious and target-driven
19. Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team
Desirable Criteria
20. Previous experience recruiting within the healthcare or medical sector
21. Knowledge of NHS Frameworks and agency staffing procedures
22. Existing network of Doctors, Consultants or healthcare professionals
23. Experience using recruitment CRM systems and candidate databases
