Mission
As an Orveon Area Sales and Education Manager you will be responsible to delivering retail sales forecasts by leading, motivating and supporting the instore retail teams that work within Boots and department stores. The ASEM will work collaboratively with the Education teams to ensure teams deliver excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities:
Performance & Planning
* Develop and execute an effective plan to deliver agreed retail sales targets whilst respecting brand values
* Ability to analyse and interpret sales data to identify gaps and opportunities
* Control the FTE budget within the area (permanent and temporary staff)
* Accurate and timely report retail sales results and KPIs by store to HO on a weekly basis
* Deliver impactful launch events/promotions that exceed customer expectations and meet agreed targets. Conduct and report post event reviews
* Ensure customer returns are processed in a timely and accurate manner. Work with retailer ops teams to identify and rectify stock issues within store. Effectively escalate issues to National Account Managers where necessary
People Development & Education
* Select, coach and motivate a high performing retail team to deliver against agreed targets
* Effective onboarding of new starters, ensuring an effective induction programme and inclusion in brand training seminars
* Conduct monthly performance reviews and annual appraisals with appropriate action plan to ensure continuous development.
* Accountable for all HR matters relating to instore teams
* Conduct regular team meetings to ensure the retail teams understand and are equipped to deliver brand/retailer plans; share best practice across the area; identify future opportunities.
* Supports and develops managers to drive sales, achieve and exceed targets and manage their team
* Follow up from new launch training via on counter visits and remote meetings
* Ensure grooming, instore hygiene, VM and customer service is in line with brand guidelines
* Responsible for all commercial training of instore teams
* Work with the training teams to identify and implement opportunities to improve sales through training, supporting in the facilitation of workshops face to face and virtually on product knowledge, Events & Activities, Customer Experience and clienteling
Other
* Build collaborative partnerships with store management
* Understand and communicate competitor activity and impact on sales to Regional Sales & Education Manager
Skills & Experience:
* Experience of leading and developing a multi-site sales team within the cosmetics industry
* Commercially astute and able to drive business performance
* Experience of achieving revenue and profit targets
* Successful record of developing individuals to achieve targets
* Ability to manage and motivate an existing team of Managers and be able to identify and develop talent
* Able to manage time effectively and plan in contingencies to ensure targets are met
* Excellent training facilitation skills
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills, adaptable for delivery to a range of audiences
* Team player, ability to respond to rapidly changing demands.
* Experience of delivering business projects to improve ways of working
* Experienced in Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
* Full clean driving license
