About the role
As Student Support and Wellbeing’s Head of Study Abroad and International Student Support (maternity cover), you will provide leadership and management to the team and have oversight over Student Support and Wellbeing Service’s outbound study abroad programme, international student support service, exchange partnerships provision and new affiliate student experience programme. You will also be responsible for UCL’s participation in the Turing and Erasmus+ schemes, including applications, compliance, reporting and operations and act as the designated safeguarding lead for study abroad students overseas.
About you
The successful applicant will have experience leading on Study Abroad processes within a central university team, have up-to-date knowledge of and understanding of issues and initiatives relating to student mobility and international students. You will also have experience managing and applying for Turing projects as well as working with international partner institutions. You will have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a track record of meeting deadlines and targets, the ability to provide strategic direction and clarity around individual responsibilities, and the ability to foster good working relationships with a wide range of individuals, including senior stakeholders.
