GSL Education are looking for a History Teacher to join schools in the Sheffield (S5, S9) area, delivering engaging lessons that develop pupils’ historical knowledge, critical thinking, and analytical skills. In this role, the History Teacher will plan and deliver lessons that encourage curiosity, discussion, and reflection, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Core Role Expectations: Plan and deliver well-structured history lessons in line with the curriculum. Encourage pupils to analyse historical sources and consider different perspectives. Maintain positive behaviour and a focused learning atmosphere. Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback. Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school objectives. Requirements of History Teacher: Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching history in a secondary school setting. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
