Job Description
You will monitor and inspect roadworks undertaken by internal and external contractors, public utilities, and developers. Additionally, you will investigate and report on public liability claims, assess road defects, and issue repair instructions in accordance with the Council's risk-based policy.
The role requires a proactive attitude, enthusiasm for new ways of working, and the ability to complete work to meet targets. Good communication and interpersonal skills, IT skills, and a current driving license are essential.
Previous experience in roads and traffic operations, a HAUC certificate, and a City & Guilds/ONC/SVQ or equivalent qualification are desirable.
Please note: This position involves weekend work, for which appropriate non-core payments will be made.
