Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Learning Disabilities) South West London area | Full-Time, Permanent | £35,000 – £40,000 sleep-ins & bonuses Are you an experienced childcare professional ready to step into leadership? We’re looking for a Deputy Manager to join a specialist children’s home in Middlesex that supports young people with Learning Disabilities. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager, leading staff, and ensuring the delivery of safe, nurturing, and high-quality care. Salary & Benefits * £35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience * Additional pay for sleep-ins * 25 days annual leave bank holidays * Private medical insurance & Employee Assistance Programme * Company pension (NEST) * Performance-related bonus scheme * Paid training, supervision, and funded qualifications What You’ll Be Doing * Supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home * Leading, mentoring, and supervising staff to ensure consistent, therapeutic care * Acting as a safeguarding lead, promoting a safe and compliant culture * Overseeing rotas, shift cover, and staff performance management * Supporting children and young people in their development, independence, and well-being * Taking responsibility for the home in the absence of the Manager * Ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards What We’re Looking For * At least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential home * Previous supervisory or leadership experience in residential childcare * Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care with Children & Young People (or equivalent) * Strong understanding of safeguarding, Learning Disabilities, and regulatory compliance * Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills * A full UK Driving Licence * Experience using Clearcare Solutions is desirable Working Hours & Rota This is a 40-hour per week role with a varied rota including early, late, long days, and some weekends: * Week 1: Mon & Tue 9am–4pm | Wed & Thu 7:30am–8:30pm (40 hrs) * Week 2: Mon 7:30am–8:30pm | Tue 9am–4pm | Wed 7:30am–8:30pm | Thu 9am–4pm (40 hrs) * Week 3: Mon 9am–4pm | Tue & Wed 7:30am–8:30pm | Fri & Sat 9am–3pm (40 hrs) * Week 4: Mon 9am–3pm | Tue & Wed 7:30am–8:30pm | Fri & Sat 9am–3pm (40 hrs) Why Join?
