We are recruiting for a Sous Chef to join a prestigious venue in Oxford. The position offers a base salary of around £36,000 and is a permanent role based on a 40‑hour working week. Weekly shifts are scheduled on a rota basis between 6 am and midnight, with flexibility required to meet seasonal peaks and troughs.
Overview
Wilson Vale is a quality‑led contract caterer serving high‑end clients across the UK. We operate a seven‑day, food‑led operation with an average of 200 guests daily, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffets, a salad bar, a grab‑and‑go section, freshly baked goods, daily specials, fine‑dining dinners, special events and themed social gatherings.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operation of the kitchen and the preparation and cooking of all types of dishes.
* Lead and manage a brigade of talented chefs with dedication and strong leadership.
* Train and develop the team in a supportive and professional manner.
* Maintain consistent food standards in accordance with the Wilson Vale brand.
* Deliver fresh, seasonal and innovative food from around the world.
* Interact and engage with guests while food is being served.
