This is a great role for someone who has a strong understanding of all financial disciplines, enjoys stepping back and understanding the overall financial performance of a firm, and who is eager to build and maintain strong relationships across Finance and Aviva Investors.
The AI FP&A team sits centrally within AI finance and is responsible for a wide range of financial processes that require effective collaboration and strong stakeholder management across Aviva Investors and Groupwide teams, both within and outside of the Finance function. You will manage a team of five that work collaboratively with other teams in finance to deliver all forecasting processes, internal and external performance monitoring and reporting, support capital monitoring via ownership of stress and scenario testing and winddown planning, and deliver various other financial analysis requirements. A key aspect of the role is delivery of the annual Plan and regular forecast monitoring processes. You will oversight the processes centrally, challenging inputs to the process from other stakeholders and manage outputs and messaging with the CFO, CEO, Board and Group stakeholders.
You will be responsible for internal performance monitoring and reporting to the AI ExCo, Group and Legal Entity boards within AI. A strong candidate will drive actionable insights that support effective strategic, operational and financial decision making. You will own the Monthly Performance Review and Quarterly Business Review processes as well as supporting the external reporting team through each quarterly external reporting update, taking ownership for messaging within Aviva Investors sections of external reports and trading updates. You will also be responsible for running various stress and scenario tests which, along with the annual winddown process, helps ensure our business will remain well capitalised and viable even under extreme conditions.
Proven ability to present financial information to senior stakeholders, with a strong grasp of key financial KPIs.
Deep understanding of financial systems and processes, with a track record of driving improvements and maintaining robust controls.
Solid knowledge of the investment management sector, including current trends, and experience in FP&A or commercial finance roles.
