Lead the Procurement function at Appledore, from the definition of needs to the delivery to the various areas of the organisation, in accordance with Navantia UK’s procurement policies, internal regulations, and applicable legislation. Ensure the provision of an integrated service that guarantees the continuous availability of external capabilities, goods, and services required for the execution of the organisation’s operations and the assigned projects and programs, in terms of quantity, quality, cost, and timing.
Lead the processes for defining needs and planning purchases for the projects assigned to NFBI, in accordance with technical specifications and ensuring coordination with the projects and programs in terms of type, cost of goods and services, and delivery timelines.
# Lead the procurement activities for goods and services within the operations carried out at Appledore, heading contract and agreement negotiations, and ensuring the availability of the materials, services, and equipment required for Appledore’s operations—meeting quality, timing, and cost expectations.
# Oversee logistics and supply activities for materials, equipment, services, etc., Direct supplier management actions within the framework of Integrated Supplier Management, including analysis, approval, and supervision of suppliers, ensuring compliance with established requirements and alignment of the supplier base with Appledore’s needs.
# Oversee warehouse operations and internal logistics at Appledore, ensuring inventory organisation and control, as well as efficient and high-quality service to Appledore’s production activities.
# Team Leadership & Development Lead, performance manage and mentor a team of procurement buyers. Promote continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Minimum 5–7 years of procurement experience, preferably in shipbuilding, marine, or heavy manufacturing industries.
Familiarity with shipyard operations and marine engineering components would be advantageous.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
CIPS or equivalent procurement certification.
