About the role:
We are recruiting for an ICA Technician (Instrument, Control and Automation) based at our Camberley STW.
Working in Camberley and surrounding areas, you will operate and maintain approximately 250 waste pumping stations. Your work ensures the delivery of essential services to our customers, communities, and the environment, with the primary goal of keeping pumps operational.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, disciplined, eager to learn, and possesses a can-do attitude. The role can be demanding but rewarding.
Daily tasks include planned maintenance and responding to emergency alarms. You will work as part of a team or alone, emphasizing high health & safety standards. A supplied van and tools will be maintained by you.
Responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out planned maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
2. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
3. Installing, modifying, and commissioning plant equipment; diagnosing faults; reporting improvements.
4. Investigating plant failures and implementing repairs efficiently.
5. Providing technical advice with up-to-date knowledge.
Location: Camberley - GU15 3YL
Working hours: 38 hours, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 3:36 pm, with standby and overtime opportunities that can increase earnings by £8,000-£10,000.
All PPE, tools, van, and fuel card are provided.
Candidate requirements:
* Practical understanding of plant and control systems; knowledge of Wonderware, ClearSCADA, relay logic, PLCs (Rockwell & Allen Bradley); ability to read circuit diagrams and work with inverter drives.
* Experience with instrumentation such as flow meters, pressure sensors, ultrasonics, telemetry.
* Qualified to HNC, City and Guilds Part 2, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in electrical subjects.
* Valid driving license; ability to work across multiple sites.

* Ability to respond quickly to faults and understand problems thoroughly.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to undergo safety training and adhere to health & safety standards.
