The main duties of this position will be to complete repairs and maintenance to rail freight vehicles in line with company or customer specifications. The work involves manual lifting, working under rail wagons, loading and offloading spares and equipment from vans, some working at height tasks, driving, grinding, burning, welding, fabricating, gauging, brake testing, or other tasks as directed by supervisors. The hourly rate is £15.82 and standard hours are 37.33 per week. Overtime is available.
