We are looking for a skilled CNC Setter Operator to join our production team. This individual will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery, ensuring that all products meet company specifications and comply with established safety standards. Listed on London Stock Exchange; Member of the FTSE 250 Index. Set up CNC machines to produce components, including loading tooling, fixtures, and raw materials. Interpret and work from technical drawings, CAD files, and job specifications to determine machine settings and production requirements. Programme CNC machines as required, adjusting to optimise efficiency and maintain product quality. Monitor machine operation, inspecting finished items to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards. Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment, reporting faults or breakdowns promptly to the maintenance team. Work collaboratively with other production staff to minimise downtime and maximise output. Complete production records, including job sheets, inspection reports, and maintenance logs. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised work environment. Provide training and mentorship to production staff regarding CNC operations as needed. Strong understanding of CNC machine operation, programming, and troubleshooting with Fanuc Controls. NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline desirable. Experience with ceramics manufacturing processes and materials. Forklift licence or other relevant certifications. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Basic IT skills for record-keeping and machine interface operation. Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
