We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to support the progress of our pupils on a fixed term contract till July 2026 in the first instance, of ideally 32.5 hours per week, however we would consider a part time position for the right candidate. You would work across the primary phase. The role involves daily interaction with pupils and the class teacher, following lesson plans and preparing the learning environment. You would be expected to use your own initiative to support the teaching staff, and be able to work with small groups and in a 1:1 situation effectively - including the delivery of fine and gross motor skills. You could also be asked to undertake Forest School duties alongside our Forest School lead, and be expected to do lunch duty on the playground. Preferably, you will have some experience of working as a Teaching Assistant and hold a Level 3 qualification and have worked in another school setting, including with children who have Special Educational Needs. You must also be prepared to work in our Early Years Reception Class.
Your day would start at 8.30am and finish at 3.30pm, with a half hour lunch break. However, we do understand the need to be flexible at times, so raise this within your application.
