After-School Cookery Club Teacher / Classroom Assistant – Inspire Children with Your Energy and Expertise

About the role
* Job type: Part-time, term time only – ideal for balancing work with lifestyle demands
* Hours: Monday–Thursday, after school between 3:00/3:30pm and 5:00pm
* Locations: Prestbury, Hale, Stockport, Bramhall, Cheadle, Wilmslow, Marple
* Roles: Club Leader (must drive) and Club Assistant
We're a small, independent children's cookery club based in Stockport. Our hands-on cookery club engages children from EYFS to KS2 in practical cooking experiences that build essential life skills, teamwork, and confidence. We focus on a positive and encouraging ethos, inspiring young chefs to connect with fresh, wholesome ingredients and understand their impact on well-being. We prepare both sweet and savoury recipes, learning in a fun, hands-on environment that fosters a love for cooking from scratch.
What you'll do
* Lead or support engaging cooking sessions while confidently managing groups of children to maintain a safe, positive, and productive environment.
* Use your strong classroom or group management experience to keep sessions calm, well-organized, and fun.
* Bring energy, reliability, and a positive work ethic to every class.
* Assist with equipment set-up and pack-down (Leaders collect and return kit in Great Moor, Stockport).
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in classroom or group management, with the ability to lead and motivate young children in a safe, well managed and fun environment.
* Hard-working, organised, and energetic, with a positive attitude and excellent timekeeping.
* Confident cook with basic culinary skills and enthusiasm to share this passion with children.
* Full driving licence and use of own car (essential for Leader role).
* Local to Hazel Grove, Great Moor, Stockport, or the mentioned school areas.
* Enhanced DBS, First Aid, Safeguarding, and Food Safety certifications preferred (can be arranged).
