The Royal Standard designs unique accessories for home and wardrobe inspired by European influences. Our product mix includes fashion accessories, home decor, holiday decorations, and entertaining essentials. We strive to offer exceptional quality with tremendous value and to design pieces that enhance a wardrobe, complete a room, or serve as a thoughtful gift.
The Royal Standard opened its first retail store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1998. We now operate multiple retail locations in Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama and wholesale showrooms in Dallas and Atlanta. Our products are available across the US in over 4,200 retail establishments.
Overview
Summary: The Sales Associate specializes in excellent customer service and sales. Responsibilities include assisting customers with retail needs, providing a positive shopping experience, processing point-of-sale transactions, stocking and tagging merchandise, straightening shelves, monogramming merchandise, and more.
Responsibilities
 * Initiating and developing customer relationships; resolving customer service issues promptly
 * Operating a cash register and tendering sales
 * Motivated to reach or exceed store sales goals
 * Following store policies and procedures
 * Maintaining merchandise displays, signage, cleanliness, and overall store appearance
 * Maintaining inventory and store supply levels
 * Tagging merchandise correctly
 * Ensuring opening and closing duties are completed
 * Monogramming merchandise on the monogram machine or by adding vinyl
 * Communicating with and assisting co-workers with store operations
 * Additional responsibilities may be added at any time
Qualifications & Requirements
 * 1 year in retail sales experience preferred
 * Part-Time status (15+ hours) including nights and weekends
 * Pre-employment background check required
 * Sales and customer service oriented
 * Professional, friendly, diplomatic, motivated, and proactive
 * Creative, organized, and detail-oriented
 * Excellent verbal communication skills
 * Computer literate (POS software, Microsoft Excel and Word, email)
 * Physically able to move light furniture, boxes, and merchandise up to 30 pounds
