Overview
We’re working with a well-established accountancy practice in Chesterfield who are looking to hire an Audit Senior / Manager to support a growing audit portfolio. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building client relationships, leading audits from planning through to completion, and supporting the development of junior team members.
The Role
* Lead and deliver audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring quality and deadlines are met
* Manage on-site and remote audit work, coordinating with clients and internal stakeholders
* Review audit files and working papers, providing clear feedback and guidance
* Support the wider team with technical input and day-to-day problem solving
* Build strong client relationships and contribute to a high standard of service
* Assist with workflow planning, resourcing, and coaching of junior staff
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and support the continued growth of the audit function
What We’re Looking For
* Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by experience with strong UK practice background
* Proven audit experience within a UK accountancy practice (Senior or Manager level)
* Confident leading audits and managing deadlines across multiple assignments
* Strong communication skills and a practical, client-focused approach
* Comfortable mentoring and developing junior team members
* Good working knowledge of UK auditing standards and financial reporting requirements
