Key Responsibilities This is a classic boots-on-the-ground, sleeves-rolled-up role. Youll be responsible for managing electrical packages from project award through to completion, making sure everything lands on time, on spec, and within budget. But more than that, youll be the link between the office and the site, the client and the team, the spec and the final fix.
Expect your week to include:
Leading and coordinating electrical site teams
Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and specs
Planning, programming, and monitoring progress on live projects
Managing suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality and delivery
Attending client meetings and giving progress updates
Managing health & safety, RAMS, and compliance requirements
Supporting commercial teams with variations and cost control
Working closely with other project leads across mechanical and BMS packages
Therell be site visits, supplier calls, last-minute tweaks, and the occasional moment where youll need to keep a cool head while solving something that wasnt in the drawings. You know the drill.
Skills & Experience Required Solid experience managing electrical projects in M&E or BMS
Familiarity with commercial and industrial installations
Knowledge of current IEE regulations and health & safety standards
The ability to manage project teams and communicate clearly
Strong organisation skills and the ability to keep multiple plates spinning
A full driving licence
Any formal qualifications in electrical or building services engineering will help, but what matters most is your ability to make things happen and keep projects running smoothly.
